Marmalades Not Her Only Specialty!...

PRNewswire Story From: MarketWatch.com - Nov 21, 2008

Patti's Good Life, Inc. (www.pattilabellefoods.com) announced today that international superstar and celebrity chef Patti LaBelle has just released her third cookbook and first instructional cooking DVD. In addition, the fourth quarter will usher in the introduction of blended seasonings and spices to her existing line of all natural food products.

The cookbook, titled Recipes For The Good Life, is LaBelle's third in a line of popular and critically acclaimed cookbooks. The book consists of over 200 full-color pages, features dozens of photos and over 100 of LaBelle's favorite comfort food and healthy recipes, and ties in personal anecdotes and stories from LaBelle's childhood through her present-day culinary experiences. The book, distributed through Simon & Schuster, arrived in bookstores across the country earlier this month. The instructional cooking DVD, titled In The Kitchen With Miss Patti, features over 90 minutes of footage of LaBelle in the kitchen and in her own dining room. LaBelle walks viewers step-by-step through the preparation of several of her signature dishes while candidly sharing her thoughts on food, family and life. The DVD also features a segment of LaBelle in her home in Philadelphia where she shows viewers how to set a proper table for different occasions and how to create a special atmosphere through the use of candles, music and table decor. In addition, the DVD has bonus footage of LaBelle discussing her food product line as well as some hilarious outtakes from the kitchen. The DVD, along with the cookbook and food products, is currently available on the seasonal "holiday tables" at Safeway stores throughout the U.S., including Genuardi's, Dominick's, Vons, Randalls, Carrs and Tom Thumb.

Adding to her custom line of hot sauces and relishes, LaBelle introduces a line of five blended seasonings and spices: Garlic Pepper Seasoning, Seasoned Sea Salt, Miss Patti's No Salt Seasoning, Chili & Dill Sea Salt, and Seasoned Pepper. The entire line is all natural and is incorporated into many of LaBelle's recipes. The product line hits regional retail outlets in November of 2008 and expands nationally through first quarter of 2009. Additional food products are in development and will be introduced in 2009.

"Sharing my family recipes, telling stories of my childhood and letting the cameras into my own home are very personal matters, so the book and DVD are special to me and I wanted to make sure they were done well," stated LaBelle. "I'm also so excited to expand the food line to include the blended seasonings. They're products that I use in my own kitchen, they're all natural, they're flavorful and they're fierce - just like me!"

LaBelle is a two time Grammy Award winning singer, an author of four successful books, the star of a hit television series on the TV One network and humanitarian who devotes her time and talent to numerous charities.
